Kids Collection Bag

A kids collection bag a is a great go-to to fill up for road trips and play dates!

Create a kids collection bag for them to carry their "treasures" in. Perfect for road trips and just around the house! Get the FREE SVG file!I don’t know about your kids, but mine seem to collect everything. You name it, they have a collection of it. Their moods shift from day-to-day as to which particular collection is in their favor. But one thing they definitely love is to take their favored collection with them wherever they happen to be going that day. To make this easier, I decided to make them their very own Collection Bags!

You can easily sew up some little drawstring bags, but I happened to find these linen ones in the Target Dollar Spot. It was too good of a deal to pass up!

If you are a Silhouette user you can download the SVG file for the Super Amazing Collection of Awesomeness here. It also comes with the name label tag, which you can add your child’s name to.

Size the image to fit your needs and cut out on heat transfer vinyl (affiliate link).
Remember: When cutting an iron on image on heat transfer vinyl to flip the image horizontally prior to cutting.

Carefully peel back the unneeded heat transfer vinyl from the clear plastic base. I don’t have a weeding tool so I tend to use a paper piercer for this task.

Center the image on the bag.

Lay a piece of fabric or mesh pad over the HTV and press firmly with the hot iron.

Peel clear plastic from HTV while still warm.

These are so cute and fun! I used to make bags like this for my kiddos when they were young and they were great for doctor's offices, dentist, car rides, restaurants, etc. We often filled them with some Dollar Store toys and McDonald's toys so if we accidentally left something behind it wasn't the end of the world. Thanks for sharing.

I am so sorry but I can't figure out how to download the file. Yes, I do have a Silhouette.

Hi Marilyn! Find this sentence under the 2nd photo: "If you are a Silhouette user you can download the SVG file for the Super Amazing Collection of Awesomeness here." and click on the link that is the last part of the sentence. It will take you to a page to download the file. Since it's an SVG file there isn't a preview of the image, but there is a button to download it to your computer.
