Often times when it comes to decor and furniture in our home I have to take into account the two little boys that live here. Is it breakable? Can it get scratched? Will it hide toys?
One of my favorite things to do is find furniture that doubles as hidden storage. Stashing toys and games in plain sight is just about my favorite thing ever! No one who comes into our home would ever guess just how many toys we have here. Sauder has really helped me in this department with their versatile and stylish furniture. (Remember my awesome Lego storage that you DIDN’T know was Lego storage??) My latest additions are being used as a Clutter-Free Play Station for the kiddos in our bonus room!
My newest furniture additions from Sauder have me doing backflips! Well, if I could actually do a backflip, I totally would. This Anywhere Console with the Char Pine finish is a stunner, holds (and hides!) a ton, and the flip-up front that slides out is just plain swoon worthy.
The gray Counter-Height Stools swivel up and down to change the height (perfect for my growing little ones) and tuck up against the wall when not in use.
But you really need to see what I started from to see how far this area has come!
This space started out with a boring cubical unit. It’s pretty dull AND you can see a lot of the toys still. It’s also not a good working area for the kids, just storage.
Do you see any toys in this photo? Other than the mini Foosball table that is. No! And that’s just how I like it. The new console has hidden storage AND a good-sized work surface for my boys to play on. It holds all of their art supplies, Play-Doh, and other toys.
This console is stylish and helps bring some much needed furniture eye candy to our modge podge of a bonus room. And who would ever know what is in those drawers?
I admit I was a bit intimidated to put together this console with the rolling drawer and flip-up front, but the directions were very straightforward and this was easily one of the more simple and rewarding pieces of furniture I’ve pieced together.
The Counter-Height Stools have a great industrial farmhouse feel to them. The concave seats are super comfy, and the stools themselves are lightweight enough that I can carry them around to use anywhere in the house where we need extra seating. They are also light enough for my boys to move them around to use as needed around the new console. And, of course, they love the fact they can move the seats up and down!
I am so thrilled with my clutter-free play station for the kiddos! No more messy, exposed shelves. Everything is organized and hidden out of sight, but easy for my boys to access. The perfect furniture!
Sauder has made a Put Together Lookbook to help inspire various ways to use their furniture. I encourage you to check it out, and you might see some familiar pieces there!
