Today’s Tried it Tuesday uses a vegetable that I *love* but have never actually purchased from the produce department. I always buy it in a can because, frankly, I’m intimidated by this thing in it’s normal form. Lucky for you and for me, I overcame my fear to try this recipe. And I’m happy to report, my fear is gone!

These Grilled Artichokes with Garlic and Romano Cheese from The Cutting Edge of Ordinary looked so good in the photos that I just had to try them! In her posts she includes a great photo of the anatomy of an artichoke which helped me figure out how to cut them up and which parts we could eat. Definitely something I needed as an artichoke newbie! And these ended up being SO tasty that I will definitely be making them again. AND trying more artichoke recipes in the future!
